The Downey Conservancy was featured in December in the Downey Patriot for our work in the community.

"The Downey Conservancy, a local non-profit organization that works to preserve Downey’s cultural resources, released a statement this week that the former Bob Spreen Cadillac dealership on Studebaker Road be preserved and re-used by future tenants."

We have previously announced the impending demolition of the Cadillac dealership at Florence and Studebaker. This building is exemplary of the Mid-Century 'Googie' style of architecture, and is a great cultural resource right here in town!

Here is the link to the story in the Patriot, "Downey Conservancy Urges Reuse of Cadillac Site."

If you are interested in seeing more advocacy and public awareness campaigns for our local historic resources, please consider donating to the Downey Conservancy! All donations to the organization are tax-deductible to the fullest extent.
